Where in Florida are you? You know I'm in Florida too. My Jacobina is still blooming..I took another cutting yesterday to root over the winter..I did this last year as well. I'm not too fond of the Mexican Petunia either..
Very pretty Florida flowers in your garden. Those cassia trees are great butterfly magnets... a host plant for sulphurs. My 'red' Jacobina is blooming finally... well I'm not sure if it is actually called a Jacobina but it looks just like them only taller and more like a shrub. My neighbor passed it to me and she never knows the name of plants. Always fun to see familiar blooms ... your background persian shield and oyster plants. Meems
Hi Darla, I live in Coconut Creek which is down in S. Florida. I love the Jacobinia plant but it doesn't seem to thrive as well down here as it does in the cooler Florida zones.
Hi Meems, Thanks for the visit! I have always admired your beautiful Florida garden!
So, so lovely. You may not have changing leaves in all their autumn glory, like we have here in NC, but you are so lucky to have these gorgeous colorful flowers... of course, I know you work hard at it. Lovely post, thanks for sharing your beauties here!
The cassias are in bloom all across our city too. But no buds on the kalanchoes till now. Your jacobinia is gorgeous! I like the colour of your orchid also.
Good Morning. I stumbled upon your blog this morning, and OMG am I ever thrilled I did. You have the most beautiful flowers posted that I have ever seen. I loved the post you did on your show. How beautiful your garden items are. Just gorgeous.
I have signed up to follow your blog. I cannot wait to come back and see what you post next. I thank you for the beautiful color and happiness you have shown me this morning from your garden.
Please stop by and say hi. I would so love to have you follow my blog as well. Country hugs, Sherry
Good morning Karrita, I hope things are well in Florida. They are not so well here because the pesky lady beetles are coming in. It's due to get cold. That orchid is really neat looking. I grew kalanchoe in Germany inside of my office. To this day I think it is my favorite houseplant. I don't have enough sun here or I'd be growing it.
What fun to see familiar flowers in a blog written at the other end of the world! My mom had a lovely pink Jacobinia in her garden. It was so hardy that it looked like nothing short of acid would kill it. I love that plumy look. And, of course, the cassia is always a favourite.
