I would have to bring roses with me. These roses are from my mother's garden.
I would bring lilies with me for their intoxicating scent and pure beauty.
I would want to have an amazing Oak tree. I feel so grateful to nature when I see magnificent trees. When I am under a magnificent tree like this, I feel as if I am connected to life.
Oak tree photo was found on wikipedia.

Hi Karrita, I am so glad you are bringing the lilies, I forgot about them and love them so too. And the oak, a great source for shade and majesty. Roses? We had to bring them ourselves too, but should have known there would be others. What fun!
Frances
I toyed with lilies, they are so lovely. Great choice Karrita

Wonderful! We definitely need those oaks. Your mother's roses are gorgeous!
Shade and fragrance will make for a perfect island retreat!
Oh, the oak was on my short list! I am glad you brought one! Another good climbing tree! Lilies...they are so special and come in many colors. How lovely to have your Mother's Roses! Gail
Hi there Karrita, sorry this Island ship I’m using is running a little late. What a cruise this has been ;-)
Nice choices! What lovely roses and the lilies… we all forgot about them! Ah… but I really love your mature oak tree. I am also in awe of trees like these. This has been great fun :-D
Will this oak have acorns? They will attract the squirrels and deer! They drive me a bit crazy in my yard. Maybe we can all get along together though! :-) Great choices!
Hello - thanks for visiting my blog today and for your comment. It has been most enjoyable visiting new blogs and seeing what other folk choose. I do like your choices. It really is special to have and cherish plants from your mother's garden - I have a few of my mother's plants in my garden too. I imagine that the roses are also beautifully scented.
Hi Karrita,
nice choice, I do prefer the oak tree...
it remains me of this old song...Tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree..
I have changed blogs.
Have a nice day, Petra
Hi Karrita, excellent choices and it could have been my choices too.
Just beautiful!
Have a great weekend Karrita!

Who could be without roses... the problem was choosing which one to take - there are just SO many beautiful ones.... I loved the challenge, but it wasn't easy! Miranda
Ahhh good for you!
Lilies are so delightful!
Linda
Hi Karrita
The roses are beautiful. What is the name of the Orange rose? I love it :)
Hope you're doing well!

These are wonderful choices. Email me at rusdar@hotmail.com with your address please, so when I am prepared to send your gift I will have all of my info ready to go. Thanks for playing PIF, I know we will be blessed.
There is something so stately about an oak tree. Great choices!
Karrita,
Your garden is absolutely lovely. I have to agree about the trees. There's something very grounding about them, dontcha think?
I love your picks. Scent is so important isn't it? And your tree is perfect. I really needed a tree in my three.
Hi Karrita, I would have to have an oak tree, too. I like the idea of roses and lilies as well. Great choices.

Love your choices! Roses and Lilies are some of my favorites too. We have several old, and very tall oak trees in our yard. They are, as Frances said, 'majestic'.
Lovely choices and the first two are both beautiful and fragrant. I agree about the oak tree - very majestic!

Karrita, I would love to be interviewed for the crafter/gardener. Yes, I'm Tina's sister, she's older, not by much tho! You have beautiful things on Etsy. My email is

it's also on my profile if the link doesn't work.
Excellent choices, all of them. Love that pic of that sturdy oak, we can't do without one on our desert island, that's for sure!
The roses and lilies are great choices, Karrita, but my favorite has to be the oak tree. I have an old oak that actually looks much like the one in the photo. Nothing is as majestic as an old oak!
I am continuing to try to catch up with my blog reading. I didn't even try to think of 3 plants to take to an island, but enjoyed reading those I came across.
I like your choices, too.

I like your choices, too.
I enjoyed your other garden artist interviews, too.
